      I agree. I am an INFJ and my best conversations are with INTJs. The only thing I find difficult with INTJs as an INFJ myself is that they tend to be a little too logical. There's nothing inheritantly wrong with that, but as an INFJ, I see that too much logic is illogical. The more abstract is closely related to the devine which is what I really like. INTJs seem to miss that part, or don't quite understand it.

    I typed an INTJ over a phone conversation. Ni dominance gives lots of common ground with us. Although Fi in 3rd, they still have it, plus Te with Ni gives excellent understanding of reality. I think their lacking Ti means they aren’t as interested at understanding the world in a theoretical basis like us. They tend to be highly pragmatic and keen to philosophise about the bigger overall picture of life and the world.

    I can hate people of my type (INTJ), when they ignore Fi/Fe - and protective/defensive to them. I think they can hate each others, when both ignore their 3rd function, and impose their 2nd. And they hurt me a lot in this case. Or when 2 N dom misunderstand each other. I don't like when they are not open minded, don't listen, not receptive, don't react, don't share what they think and have in mind - when they stay in their Ni, keeping everything for themselves, very private. We show Fi only when we feel comfortable and safe, to not being hurt. INFJ when they ignore Ti/Te and Ne - And INTJ when they ignore Fi/Fe and Ne, communication is more difficult. I have the impression, I have more facility to communicate with INFJ males (surely cause naturally more T) and INTJ females (naturally more F) Or maybe it's just me, because I am NT type girl.

    Also, will you do a video on how INFJs think? We get an incredibly bad rap... I understand that many immature INFJs will stay deeply rooted in that feeling and intuitive function in order to stay close to home and comfortable... But it is very easy for a mature infj to engage in the world almost identical to an intj... We can easily learn how to engage our thinking function and when we do we can rival any NT in logic, strategy, precision, analysis, etc.

      Musk seems an NTP to me when I see him in interactions and ignore what he does. In his recent interaction you can see difference between as Peterson is takes all 'experts' more seriously as he sees that as competence, while Musk does not seem to care and goes chilling with random youtubers and is way more casual. Peterson also tends to be well read and tends to take basically all his ideas from external sources, like books and such, whereas Musk just reasons on the spot more and ends up wherever he ends up. Peterson is very orientated towards real world Te stuff like 'clean your room, yet your life in order'and gets actually angry in their recent conversation, whereas Musk agrees that he is against the same stuff, but you do not see him morally judging stuff that much. Musk just values free speech cause that's what NTP's stand for most. Open conversation without focus on credentials, as he behaves the same with everyone ('just another person') whereas you can see with Peterson he is very impressed with anyone who's higher on the Te-hierarchy than him, like was visible in their recent conversation together. Peterson there behaved like a fanboy who meets their idol for the first time and is so eager to ask him 100 questions, to the point that he spends more time asking questions than having patience to listen to the replies. So to me Peterson seems INTJ. He is Te-seious most of the time, unless something deeply affects his Fi, and then he starts crying. I see this in a lot of types with Te/Fi axis, whereas they can go from 'super confident' to crying in a matter if seconds if you trigger certain topics. Also, the fact that their talk felt a bit like they didnt totally get eachtother, despite having the same sort of opinions may because they do not share any functions. Then the convo more easily doesnt take off naturally as easily. I notice this myself with people with completely different functions.

He also doesn't come up for breathe in terms of talking to a point where he'll ask a question and talk over me. Quite gossipy as well and tries to get me involved into things that are not mine to worry about and says "we" after only him making the statement. I did start with "he's a nice fella" 😂 and he is but he can drain me rapidly if he's feeling vulnerable.

  • @ShizuruNakatsu
    @ShizuruNakatsu 13 годин тому

    I kind of do both 😂 I'm an INFJ and I do often talk about how everybody is stupid. I used to tell people I didn't want to make friends at school "because they were all idiots". I didn't mean in the academic sense. I don't care about your exam results. That isn't what makes you valuable. I meant they're "idiots" because they're selfish, self-serving, egotistical, shallow, superficial, manipulative, greedy, closed-minded... because they fight, because they use other people for their own sick pleasures... To me, a person is "stupid" if they're a bad person. I don't care if you have a PhD and an IQ of 160, if you use your knowledge to create evil... To harm or suppress others, or have a negative impact on the world in any way - you are an idiot and you're wrong, and not worth my time.

    In my own experience, i always find myself in MAJOR power struggles with this type ! They can in my opinion, be overbearing, dictatorial, and bullying. At first glance we infjs --- especially the males among us --- are percieved as weak ! Our mild mannered, often fluid , watery demeanors , make us seem like prey to the more aggressive, extraverted types. ENTJs are no different. Their Te dominant inclinations can oftentimes lead them to making rash decisions about our characters, and capabilities. And their natural leadership capabilities, confidence , and high intelligence make them seem arrogant to other types who dont value Te, including INFJs. This type although formidable, is the least intimidating to me. I have no problem challenging them when they are wrong, or enforcing my own personal boundaries when needed --- which is often early , upon first meeting each other.

      I have an ENTJ immediate supervisor and I find him far easier to deal with than our manager, an INTP who has Ne gone mad and his shocking inability to take time into account. It annoys both of us. We get on because I'm the best on site, engineering wise and I talk about problems, rather than cover them up. I'm sent to deal with stuff and rarely let him down while he is managing other issues, so I think my dependability helps. It's taken time but he now gives me the time to fix things properly, which suits me (INFJ). For me, he helps by immediately time prioritising what I need to do and he says go do it. I've disagreed with what is a priority at times but generally he's spot on and has listened and changed things about. I feel ENTJs are painted as bullies a bit too much as they're organised and deliberate in action but rarely seem contemplative, but they are, just not so publicly.

      I hesitate to apply qualifiers like "selfish" to types with high Te because I think it automatically shows a subjective opinion that makes it hard to examine interactions between types. I have a close ENTJ friend and often get frustrated with her need for control of situations and often find myself resorting to this "she is acting selfish" perspective. But there are times where it is very clear that her desire for control is not acting in selfishness per se, but rather the vision she is trying to achieve is objectively the "best" for all in the situation. We INFJs obviously try to balance the needs of people with this sort of idyllic utopia, but oftentimes fail to see the practical sides of things that are limited by our flawed world. ENTJs are much more adept at observing limitations and accounting for that, but fail to realize the emotional impact of things. In our field of study, we both form a good pair in which we both form visions, and work on each others strengths and weaknesses to create a holistic product.

    I think the wiser you get, the more you naturally steer toward authenticity. At this point in my life, I don’t bother with much unless it has meaning to me, or it gives me new experiences/perspectives or allows me to help others. The desire to mold what you say or how you behave to others is always there, but I now can actively choose how much I want to follow that impulse or ignore it all together. I’ll never be outwardly rude, but I’ll simply walk away from those situations or people, quite literally. Sacrificing your authenticity for anything or anyone is too high a cost. I know my Fe understands, it might squirm a little because it thinks I’ve burned a bridge or made someone feel awkward or upset, but it understands. 🙃😂

    There are many overlapping traits between INFJs and covert narcissism because of the introverted personality. Enough that I think many people who mistakingly diagnosed themselves as INFJs are actually covert narcissists. However, while the INFJs struggle with being authentic, covert narcissists have killed off their true core a long time ago and can't have authenticity at all.

    Ren, you said this so eloquently that I believe you have spoken of how we truly are, with our nuanced way of being and expressing ourselves. INFJ’s Ni is purely individual while being unfathomable to everyone except the rare one who themselves must likewise own this capacity and are capable of showing it through their own range of INFJ functions. The self reflection is ongoing for life, from my own 60+ years down here on earth. There’s a lot going on in the mind, it never gets boring! I know what authenticity means and am aware that I seek it before attempting any sort of friendship with anyone because my intuition is so highly developed I can read in short time how someone is behaving or projecting. I don’t need to try to be authentic by dint of being it. However,, as you said, Fe in us wants to communicate fluently and coherently with another in the right way, which means we are constantly evaluating what they are saying and how we are responding, and for me it also means mentally checking I said it alright so as not to offend nor give too much of myself at the same time. There’s a continual balancing act going on between what we intuit and what our other functions are informing us at any time. One thing I know for sure and that is who to steer clear from at all costs, and who is safe to be with. The latter are few indeed.

  • @breezi3154

    Thanks for these thoughts, Ren. It is interesting to think about Fe vs. Fi as being about the cognitive processing of feelings rather than as the emotional experiences themselves. I do think this must be an oversimplification, though, as it's clear that the emotional experiences of Fe users and Fi users are actually different. Fe users are much more likely to be empathetic in a very direct way, where their emotional experiences are wrapped up in those of others (even before any decision making process is consciously undertaken) whereas Fi users simply don't experience feelings this way, at least not to nearly the same degree. You could try to say that this is actually a distinction in cognitive processing, and not in the experience itself, but if that's true then the cognitive processing is so core to our programming and unconscious that it happens prior to what we recognize as the emotional experience itself and the distinction between the experience and the cognitive processing of it would seem meaningless in that case. It seems to me that we really are just experiencing things differently. They're the same human feelings but with a different level of openness to the external world.

    • @RensRoom
      @RensRoom День тому

      Hi Breezy! If we are operating within a purely descriptive-qualitative framework (such as the one I utilise in my new book) then I would agree with you that we have to account for actually different emotional experiences between types, and not just for processing of experiences. From the moment that one starts to talk of cognitive functions, though, that is equivalent to adopting a framework that compels you to focus on the cognitive. I can't make any decent sense of e.g. an INFJ and an ENFP having qualitatively different emotions because of their "Fe versus Fi". Another related thing is that the qualitative-descriptive approach tends not to ascribe specific textures of emotional states to possessors of this or that function, but simply to people to see themselves as INFJ, ENFP or some other type. In other words, people who fall under a certain kind of description. When you really drill down to the specific emotional world of people, it seems to me there are as many similarities between, say, TiNe and FiNe and there are differences between TiNe and FeSi. In such a way that the reliance on cognitive functions for explanation is no longer really operative. One thing this all reminds me of, though, is that the discourse I hold on my channel about these themes is different from the one I have in my books. This is partly because the approach in my books is more subtle and more difficult to explain persuasively to people in my videos. But I can at least let the two approaches exist side by side in a way that is not mutually exclusive, which I am managing as best I can until I can finally find a way to integrate them.

    I failed many times in physics, and other classes which I didn't have the ability to learn on my own. It was stressful and depressing many times. But if you are someone who can find a way to learn and get through the roadblocks, it's rewarding

    Authenticity can be hard for INFJs in one respect; it might cause social disharmony and hurt Fe. Also, we are known as social chameleons. But when we need or want to be, we can be very authentic. Lack of subjectivity can also make authenticity an issue.

    You can have extroverted feeling without acting upon it, that is when you're most authentic

  • @PowerRedBullTypology
    @PowerRedBullTypology 2 дні тому

    I think the authenticity of Ti/Fe axis types is their Ti, just as it's the Fi for hte Fi/Te axis people. Both Te and Fe are more prone to say something for a certain result, which is typically perceived to be less authentic. Also, it should be noted that authenticity does not mean it'autoamtically a good thing. Someone can be inauthentic and do the 'right thing', like an Fe might be prone to do.. So the word authenticity is not a word I am that fond of because it gives a certain impression that does not have to be true (which is, that is it is good). However, if taknig the word somehwat at face value I would go even as far as to question if Fi is actually more 'authentic' than Ti, as individuals with Ti try to find the truth in themselves and around them_without any desire to alter themselves or the world_ whereas with Fi authenticity is much more complex as they can have a sort of imposed standards of _how they wish they would be as a person_ (their ideal) versus the _way they actually and would behave like naturally . So in my view this can quite often result in conflicting situations where they force themselves to do one thing, while their nature screams the opposite. If you look at Ti and Ti-doms types in general I think their authenticity is much more visible, as they just seem to behave like themselves and tend be quite honest without thinking about it too much. Sure, you will get a bit of surface level friendlyness (Fe) from them, but the Ti itself in my view is more authentic than because htere are _no conflicting forces_ at work, as Ti just wants to know what is without any desired outcome. If you analyse yourslef and think you have a bad trait or have more bad than good triats, then that truth is what Ti is after without the direct desire to change it. Fi _wants_ a desired outcome, yet at the same time wants to be their anthentic self. They can even confuse their ideal self for their true self, which simply makes it more conflicting

    How would you compare Ni's authenticity of INFJ compared to Ne of ENTP

    • @PowerRedBullTypology
      @PowerRedBullTypology 2 дні тому

      In theory I'd say that introverted functions in general tend to be authentic. However, the ideas that ENTP might propose are often just that; Just ideas. So if they not present htem as super authentic ideas, they cna be fine. However, Ne and Fe both at higher functions than Ti and Si can make them behave in ways people might consider inauthentic. For example, when they plays devils advocate and basically argue against themselves. However, it remains a bit uncertain if a person who actually _desires_ to plays devils advocate is really inauthentic..or are they authentic? The same argument could be made for Fe and Te too, as that is their primary way of interting with the world. If Te or Fe doms they would suddenly rely on their introverted functions, then is that authentic?

      What Red Bull said - I think introverted functions correlate more with authenticity motives (so here the ENTP's Ti).

    Here a statement i have written regarding the video about fake INFJs , u didnt answer me so i hoped u will maybe if i comment on a more recent video , i am interested in ur opinion thanks. Pls answer me , so I have in the past told many wannabe INFJs that they r none, it's pretty damn obvious at times, I know it sounds probably confirming and suspicious out of ur perspective, still I would categorize me as highly emotionally intelligent, that's where a lot of suffering stems from , u know the deal. I am highly sensitive and traumatised, who would have thought, being sensitive and highly emotionally intelligent provokes being traumatised especially when u grow up seeing ur parents confronted with many adversities, probably because I am a thinker type 5w4 and yes I am obsessed with psychology and the truth, I need to be rational, I probably use me Ti heavily, also just let me be clear if u think that there aren't mostly fake INFJs think again, the most are. Also the kind of individuals u mentioned, fakes telling others that they r fake because they know they r none obviously exist, but INFJs who tell others that they most likely or definitely r not an INFJ exist definitely also. I have stopped doing that because I am tired and have lost interest in mbti groups because they often are pretty fake , not always intended, but still often, just be honest fellow INFJs, how delusional r people nowadays, how weak r they , r they probably embracing a fake identity to feel better about themselves, often probably people who have been bullied and similar and or r pretty insecure and so on. Ur it seems like r an INFJ, I hope nobody has told u that u r not a INFJ because u pretty likely r one, also u seem like the kind of person who is very cautious towards the feelings of others, may I ask if you are maybe often too sensitive/aware of the feelings of others that u can't tell them the truth or all of it, obviously ur trying to lift up people who got hurt by the second type u mentioned, I hope ur "Fe" don't hinders u of telling people the truth! Also I just wanted to mention that I just out of coriousity watched one of ur vids because I hoped to probably learn something. Also I do not tell people that they r not INFJs because I simply don't want no more, but honestly if I would come across someone obviously fake I would feel the urge to tell them that they r wannebes and I am convinced that other INFJs would confirm my claim. Again ur right but it's not like that's always the case when someone tells another person that they r not an INFJ, let's be real. You seem soft and yes I am also, that's probably what Fe does to someone, to keep it simple. Still the truth is more important and I need to operate with the truth to think the right way , to be able to move into the direction where my understanding everything increases, what isn't easy if i move through lies, otherwise it becomes unexpectedly easy if u r strong enough to move through the truth with open eyes.

      @@RensRoom OK ur probably right, I just don't like it when it sounds so absolute but I am ok with usually, try to think urself into the perspective of an INFJ 5 type , is it plausible to u why that kind of INFJ especially could get triggered by that. I mean I am one and I assume 5types most often get triggered by the display of false information. Sry if I have bothered u, thank you for answering.

    I think whatever bullseye you were trying to hit, you were way off. Appreciate the dedication, but your points aren’t connecting at all. What your saying is that we should be careful with conspiracy theories, but you fail to explain the actual connection between infjs and the metaphysical. The connection between the realms of magic and science.
